Disinfection of the domestic water services is the most popular and one of the most inexpensive forms of combating any detrimental sample results, a property that has been unused for a long period of time or on a new installation before handover.

There are many chlorine or chlorine related disinfectants that can be used to disinfect a water system.

WHAT DOES A DISINFECTION METHODS INVOLVE?

  • Storage tanks no matter how big or small will be drained down before being cleaned to remove any sediment and debris before being refilled with fresh water and disinfecting. Disinfecting the incoming mains supply is done by injecting a disinfectant using an injection pump and drawing water off at all outlets across the system including the hot water system, the system will be constantly monitored to make sure that the disinfectant remains at a constant level during the process. The tanks and associated pipework are then flushed through with fresh water until all traces of disinfectant are removedThis procedure can be carried out on a wide variety of domestic and commercial properties as well as underground water mains.
