The hot water Calorifiers were drained down, cleaned, flushed and disinfected. Three TMV’s which were found to be faulty with the potential to cause injury through scalding were replace with new type three valves. The hot water must be constantly monitored to ensure it is never higher than 44° C as stated in the health and safety at work act 1974
With our assistance a full legionella prevention management plan was put in place to help minimise any risk no matter how small.
